There is no better place to start website design than with the structure. This can be done manually with pen and paper however there are ways of creating a structure diagram quickly. Microsoft Excel, Word or Visio as well as other specialist diagram creation tools could be used to draft structure diagrams.
It is important in the diagram to layout the structure systematically otherwise the diagram is confusing and messy. Colours may be used to enhance the diagram and identify similar groups.
