Hierarchy

This hierarchical structure is found in computers and allows the logical collection of information into groups. It is the workhorse of the web as it allows a website to place the most important information of a category on a higher level than other less important data. Links from one central page allow the user to define their website experience by accessing whatever they like. They dive down through the levels to access the data of their choice.

This structure is good for users with prior experience online as they will have had exposure to this type of structure.
